Since January 1, 2019, the procedure for obtaining a single-entry visa for foreigners in electronic format has been launched in Kazakhstan.
An electronic visa (business, tourist and for treatment) is issued on the basis of a valid invitation from the Kazakh side, issued in the divisions of the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the prescribed manner.
Foreigners can enter / leave the territory of Kazakhstan using a valid electronic visa only through the checkpoints of the international airports of Astana and Almaty.
Tourist electronic visas are issued to citizens of 117 states, business and medical visas - 23 states. An electronic visa is valid only for the visa recipient and does not apply to accompanying persons. The passport provided by the visa recipient must meet the following criteria:
- not to raise doubts about the authenticity and belonging to its owner, not to contain marks of renewal, reservations, records, erasures and corrections, torn or embroidered pages;
- have at least 2 blank pages;
- Its validity period must expire no earlier than 3 months from the date of expiry of the requested visa.
