ITB, one of the largest travel fairs in the world, took place in the German capital for the 53rd time from 6 to 10 March. In 2018, over 10,000 exhibitors from over 180 countries presented tourism services and products from their regions. The anniversary fair has attracted around 160,000 visitors, and 110,000 of them are tourism experts and professionals. As part of the ITB Business Travel & MICE Days event, leading experts shared their advice on reducing costs and calculating risks when organizing business travel and trade shows.
Every year our country takes part in the exhibition, with its own national stand, which presents the leading and large tour operators of the country.
Within the framework of the ITB exhibition, the largest tourism congress in the world took place, which has been held annually since 2004. The Congress, which is attended by market experts, politicians, economists and environmentalists, is an effective platform for discussing important issues in the industry, exchanging experience and finding new business partners. The main topics of the Congress, which was attended by over 400 speakers, were artificial intelligence, the use of social media in case of disasters and natural disasters, global climate change and the plans of Chinese investors in the hotel business.
